Zuesar Salad

An asian take on the classic Caesar Salad

Zuesar Salad



For every two servings add the following (spoonful = a normal size spoon, somewhere between a tsp and tbs)

  • 1 spoonful soy sauce
  • 1 spoonful dark chinese vinegar
  • 1 spoonful apple cider vinegar
  • .75 spoonful lemon juice
  • .5 spoonful worcestershire sauce
  • 2 spoonful olive oil
  • 2 cloves fresh diced garlic (can sub garlic powder)
  • black pepper (about 15 grinds worth)
  • mustard powder (same amount)
  • 1 heaping spoonful finely grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg yolk


  • romaine lettuce
  • arugula (rocket)
  • garlic Caesar croutons


  • Rinse and dry lettuces together, ideally using a salad spinner
  • Mix all dressing ingredients together in a bowl, stir vigorously
  • Put lettuces, dressing and croutons all together in large bowl and toss
  • Serve in individual bowls and top with additional grated parmesan
